YFCC beliefs
We believe all young people in Fenland, aged between 5 and 19, should experience high quality art and culture right on their doorstep. They should also have the opportunity to see and take part in such activities outside the district. The YFCC is a springboard for young people wanting a career working in the arts and cultural sector.
Collaborative working
Members of YFCC work collaboratively towards a set of outcomes agreed as a group. We use the outcomes to guide the delivery of project activities in Fenland by our own organisations.Development of new ideas
We develop new activities where required. These can be delivered through a working group of organisations or can be commissioned. Members actively, openly and generously share project ideas, expertise and learning with each other to support high quality delivery with young people in and out of school. Members are committed to real and sustainable change and we recognise that this will take time.Developing schools
Our approach to working with schools is to encourage every school to form a committment to the arts, culture and creativity and for them to make these essential skills and experiences a central part of their wider offer for children and young people.
